2009 - so far, so good!

This is our first post for 2009, and it's a good one! On 6th February we had 1,206 unique visitors to illustratorslounge.com !!!




We usually get around 15-30 uniques a day, so this figure was fabulous to see. We are very happy and would like to personally thank Pzdrago and Gracey for stumblingUpon us!

We have a new festive origami oracles over on our scribble scribble site! Check it out!

Mirrors Magic!

Here at the Lounge we have been customizing a few mirrors. We have had them sitting in our studio for a while and we finally got round to spray-painting them up!

Pencily Update

Pencily is currently going through a MAJOR overhaul. With lots of extras; links to great blogs, tutorials, books, and much more. We saw the errors in our original approach and intend to rectify them, and create harmony on the web once again.

The Canteen + Retreat

Good and Bad news this post. The Good news is we recently attained some photos of The Canteen (the restaurant that we were doing the mural for), The place looked awesome! I say 'looked' because the company is now in Administration, which brings me on the bad news. Most likely The Canteen will not re-open, so all our hard work may never be seen again, and these could be the only pictures we have of the finished interior. yep.

2008 Baby!

Yes, it has been a while since we last blogged. So we thought we should give all our adoring fans a brief update on our personal projects and goals.

First off, In further blog news, Kyri has begun his own blog with lots of cool personal, some of our collaborative work, opinions and informative videos. Definitely check it out!

In The Lounge we have a few projects we are putting into motion. We already have Pencily online, but we have plans to give it a serious overhaul, updating the blog lists and creating a new category.

Also we are currently working on a card game, I don't want to give too much away, but we have drawn more than 100 characters for the project. All will be revealed soon, we will keep posted.

Also we are working on a flyer showcase site, tittled 40FLYERS. It will be the one-stop-shop to see the latest in great design and the coolest events!

As we're here, we thought we would share some other stuff we have been up to. These are a collection of logos we have done for various companies.

WE ARE DONE!

It was a long hard 3 weeks of late shifts, and no sleep, but were done! We have done our bit, and were just waiting on the builders to finish up. The restaurant should be opened to the public next week (fingers crossed). If you want to go check it out the restaurant is called - The Canteen, and can be found at 231 The Strand, London
